Some of you may already be looking for summer vacation. Children are out of the school. We congratulate several children and youth from the parish who graduated this year. We would like to share with you with some pictures and information from recent celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation that was held on Sunday May 28, 06.
In June we were quite busy at Holy Cross. On Sunday June 11, 06 the church celebrated the Solemnity of Holy Trinity and on that day the Parish Life Committee with many volunteers organized very successful Parish Picnic on the church premisses. There were some hesitations to move parish picnic back to Holy Cross from Zaccaria Park, West Paterson. It turned out a great idea since we have had a double of participants comparing to recent past years. To each and everyone who brought delightful food for picnic, grilled food during the event, entertained children, and of course those who cleaned afterwards, to each and everyone I say heartfelt thank you. The entertained provided by them magician was donated by annonymous donnor. We had a god time and a lot of fun.
On June 18, 06 on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi we honored fathers of our parish and prayed for all fathers living and deceased. Those present gentelmen received gifts of pens and note pads with a thoughtful inscription . These items were donated by anonymous donnors. The delicious father’s Day Breakfast was served sponsored by the Blessed Sacrament Society and Daughters of Holy Cross. We thank both societies for their generosity. At the same time I ask more ladies to join these societies of our parish who need support to continue their wonderful service to benefit our parish family.

My Dear Parishioners, summer months are the most difficult to keep enough income to pay the expenses of our parish. Therefore, on behalf of the Parish Committee I ask all of you to donate or sent your regular donations to the parish including for Sunday(s) you will not be present. During the summer months we are going to have Saturday Masses at 6:00 p.m. except June 24, 06 when we will have “Summer Time Supper” after 5:00 p.m. Mass. Summer time Masses are for your convenience to easier plan weekend and attend Holy Mass either on Saturday or on Sunday.
In the time of vacation and leisure we cannot forget to fulfill God’s commandment “Keep holy the Sabbath Day.” In fact, this is our privilege and our advantage to have the opportunity to keep alive our spiritual life in our pilgrimage to eternal life. Our Lord rose from the dead on Sunday and he wants us to meet his followers each Sunday and nourish us with his Word and his precious Body and Blood. As we cannot survive without daily food, we cannot live piously without spiritual nourishment.
"Christ is Risen! Indeed, he is Risen!
 Your's in Christ,
  Father Jospeh R. Cyman, Pastor
