Annual Christmas Dinner

On Sunday, December 10th dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed Christmas music and a great menu consisting of Baked Salmon, Pork Roast, Chicken Marsala, Beef Empanadas, Spanish Rice, Scalloped Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Salad, Bread & Rolls, Assorted Desserts.

We thank all those who attended this event, especially the parents for bringing their children. The children of Holy Cross are special and very important to our parish. Santa (St. Nicholas) came with his Elf helper and gave presents to all the children. He told them to listen and help their parents and be well behaved. Lots of pictures taken with Santa.

Merry Christmas to all!

Free Town Picnic 2023

The parish town picnic, held Sunday, June 4th, was a huge success. It got bigger this year.

As always, the food was delicious and plentiful. Thank you to the chefs Ed Obssuth, Dave Obssuth, Dominick Bucci and Tracey Banta for a job well done. Thanks to all that donated desserts and homemade dishes to share with friends. We thank those who set up the hall and tents before the event: Penni Lazor, Fran Cuccinello, Matthew Daniewski, Dominick Bucci and those who cleaned after the event, Hernan Patino, Laura Orrego, Diego Ochoa, Iris Miolan and others. I was impressed seeing so much new energy in many parishioners helping at the picnic. Children and adults enjoyed fun and games including a 16’ water slide, dunk tank, “blake the clown”, face painting, balloon twisting, a touch of nature (20 animals on display that gave some educational tips). Many thanks to the Picnic Committee for planning and volunteering their time and talent to make the day fun filled for the young and adults.

Parishioners, friends, children, neighbors and Woodland Park residents all came together and enjoyed the afternoon festivities.

Many thanks to all that participated in any way with helping to make it a great day for all. This event was considered as an outreach program to our community supported by the diocese. As a result, we had people who signed up to become members of our parish and their children will attend First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes.

Looking forward to 2024’s picnic.

Christmas Dinner Thank You.

On Sunday, December 12th, dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed Christmas music and a great menu provided by Francesco’s Restaurant. We thank all those who came for this event, especially parents for bringing their children. Because the children of Holy Cross are very special, Santa Claus came and gave them goodies asking them to listen and help their parents and behave well. Special appreciation to Santa for coming this year, Renata Cyman who decorated the hall, Natalie Lazar who gave gifts to children, those who served food, did clean up and made that day very special.  Merry Christmas to all!  In the picture are some attendees of Christmas Dinner.
