The annual Blessing of the Easter Baskets took place on Holy Saturday, March 30th. The baskets brought to the church contained meat symbolizing the sacrifice of Jesus; bread symbolizing manna from the Old Testament as well as the Holy Eucharist; eggs symbolizing resurrection and rebirth; and other food and items such as candies, horseradish, butter, and wine.
