The Sacrament of Confirmation was administered by Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky on Sunday, November 9th, at 11 am Holy Mass to new five Confirmands

  • Roselyne Katherine (Tekakwitha) Caceres, Sponsor – Pamela Caceres-Morales

  • Sophia Mary Vogel, Sponsor – Gabriella Samarelli

We thank the Prime Bishop for his celebration of Mass, preaching the Word of God and administering the Sacrament of Confirmation. We congratulate our new confirmands, their sponsors, family members and friends. I also thank Deacon Mark and Deacon Bill for helping me in preparing our students for this important sacrament.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the sacrament through which we receive gifts of the Holy Spirit to make us soldiers of Christ, ready to profess our faith in word and deed. There are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, strength, godliness and fear of the Lord. Confirmation imprints on our souls that sacramental character which gives us the strength needed to profess and defend our Christian faith. (Catechism PNCC)

The New confirmands were invited to participate in different ministries in our parish such as lectors, substitute teachers in our School of Christian Living, members of Adoration Society and other groups. God bless you all.

Confirmation Today

At 11 AM Holy Mass today, November 9th, the Sacrament of Confirmation will bw administered by Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky. Our Candidates for Confirmation are: Jazlyn Batista, Jaylin Batista, Roselyne Caceres, Sebastian Gomez, and Sophia Vogel.

After Holy Mass we will gather for a luncheon with Prime Bishop. Tickets are required.

The menu includes: Pepper Steak, Salmon, Pierogies (With Buffalo Chicken and Potatoes & Cheese), Lasagna, Rice and Vegetables, and Chicken Tenders (for children).

The Sacrament of Confirmation will take place on Sunday November 9, 2025 at 11 am Mass. Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation. The reception in the parish hall will follow with hot Luncheon. Tickets – Adults $20; children ages 6 -12 – $10.  Register on Sunday after Masses.

The Sacrament of Confirmation was administered by Rt. Rev. Bernard Nowicki. Holy Mass was concelebrated Pastor, Rev. Joseph Cyman, with the help of Deacon William Gaydos.

We enjoyed the reception after the Mass in the Parish Hall. I thank all those who helped to organize reception and cleaning after the event. Sacrament of Confirmation is fulfilment of the Sacrament of baptism and beginning of deeper involvement in the life of the church. New Confirmands are asked to serve in different ministries building the church which Jesus established for our salvation.

Confirmation, the completion of the Sacrament of Baptism-Confirmation was administered to nine young people and adults on Sunday, October 17th at the 11am Holy Mass.

On Sunday, September 15th at 11 am Holy Mass the Sacrament Of Confirmation was administered by Rt. Rev. Bernard Nowicki, Bishop of the Central Diocese of PNCC. The candidates below were confirmed and their sponsors participated in the ceremony along with family members and friends. After the Mass the reception took place in the parish hall. We congratulate all new Confirmands and we wish them that they will use the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives as well as for the well-being of our Holy Cross Church – Fr. Confirmation 2017

On Sunday Nov. 19th we witnessed a special celebration, the Sacrament of Confirmation, the completion of the Sacrament of Baptism-Confirmation administered to nine wonderful, talented, and energetic young people: Natalie, Brianna, Ariana, David, Frank, Neil, Valerie, Gianni and Emily by Bishop Bernard Nowicki. The Mass was celebrated by the Bishop and concelebrated by Fr. Joseph. Deacons David Gaydos and William Gaydos assisted. A reception followed in the parish hall organized and sponsored by the parents. It was truly a joyful celebration!

O God, You sent your Holy Spirit into the hearts of Confirmation students. Inspire them to speak with piety, holiness, tenderness and mercy. Teach, guide and direct their thoughts and actions. May your grace strengthen them with wisdom from on high, Amen.

Confirmation Class Cares For Our Neighbors

On Sunday March 12th students from our Confirmation Class distributed food consisting of sandwiches, water and clothing to the homeless in Paterson, NJ. Jackets, scarfs, shawls, hats, blankets, winter shoes and other items were donated by parishioners of Holy Cross. It was a very cold day and it was very appropriate to remember the less fortunate of our society. “Whatever you did to the least of my brothers and sisters you did to me” – words of our Savior, Jesus Christ. At the end of the distribution the remaining items were donated to Eva’s Village in Paterson.

The Sacrament of Confirmation

On Sunday, November 6th we were joined by our Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Bernard Nowicki who celebrated Holy Mass and administered the completion of the Sacrament of Baptism/Confirmation to nine confirmands. Assisting Bishop Nowicki were our Pastor, Fr. Joseph R. Confirmation Students Reach Out at St. Joseph’s Home

On Sunday, May 6th our confirmation students Aida Llanos, Rosa Llanos, and Aby Eid along with Fr. Joseph visited and helped residents of St. Joseph’s Home in Totowa. It is wonderful to see young people doing volunteer service as part of their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
