On Sunday, December 10th, dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed a Christmas carol sing-a-long. We thank all those who came for this event, especially parents for bringing their children. We had fun, shared a great menu which was prepared by Deacon David and his helpers. We thank Neil Estanislao, our organist for the music arrangement and accompaniment. Because the children of Holy Cross are very special, Santa Claus came and gave them goodies asking them to listen and help their parents and behave well. Merry Christmas to all!

The Annual Agape (commemoration of the Last Super of Jesus with His Apostles) for NY/NJ Seniorate clergy and parishioners was held on Sunday, April 2nd at Holy Cross parish. The clergy were represented by Fr. Sr. Gregory Mludzik, Fr. Marian Tarnowski, Fr. Andrew Koterba and Fr. Joseph Cyman, host Pastor. A group of parishioners from Dunellen, Bayonne, Wallington, Passaic and Holy Cross participated in reflection, prayers and the meal. Music and songs appropriate for the occasion solemnized this event. Discussion on the commitment toward God, family, work, community and in general was a part of our discussion and reflection. Fr. Joseph invited youth from Holy Cross, especially Confirmation Class students, to experience this annual prayerful celebration. The menu consisted of chicken, lamb, salmon, and rice, variety of salads, soft drinks, coffee and deserts. We thank all who prepared this program and came to be a part of commemoration of Jesus’ Last Supper. Thus deepened our personal relation with our Lord and Savior.
We will hold a St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon on Sunday, February 12th at 12 Noon (after 11am Holy Mass). Includes: Chicken, Stuffed Cabbage, Pasta, Rice, Vegetables, Coffee, Water, Tea and Dessert, 50/50 drawing/Basket of Cheer, Champagne, Chocolates etc.

We celebrated our annual Christmas Dinner held in conjunction with our annual Christmas Program provided by our School of Christian Living students on Sunday, December 11th. Mrs. Donna Maher and Mr. Paul Murphy as well as Mrs. Natalie Lazar along with volunteers Nayef and Ned Kiame prepared an International Christmas program for our youth. The students sang Christmas carols under the leadership of organist, Neil Estanislao. The International Christmas program presented Christmas traditions and celebrations from countries around the world including Ireland, Italy, Poland, Lebanon, Ecuador, Mexico, and Australia. The delicious dinner was prepared by Hughie Vickerilla. Cakes and pastry were donated by the ladies of the parish. At the end of our celebration Santa appeared to fill the celebration with joy. Merry Christmas to all!
