Annual Parish Meeting

Our Annual Parish Meeting took place on Sunday, February 12th with refreshments after the 9 AM Holy Mass. At the meeting reports were given by the carried Parish societies. We then elected our Parish Committee for 2012.

Those who asked to be released as Parish Committee members were Adele Merson, Alice Kriskevic and Karen Hitchcock. They received Certificates of Appreciation for their past service. Lenny Hrinuk rejoined the Parish Committee.

The Parish Committee elected for 2012:

  • Chairman – Dominick Bucci
  • Vice-Chairman – Bob Sleece
  • Recording Secretary – Lynn Imperiale
  • Treasurer – Richard Daum
  • Trustees – Edward Obssuth, Hughie Vickerilla, Penni Lazor, Claire Centrella, and Lenny Hrinuk

During the meeting, Mr. Dominick Bucci presented a new church banner with the new name of our town – Woodland Park. We thank Dominick for his thoughtfulness and generous donation.

Annual Parish Meeting Notice

Our annual parish meeting will be held on Sunday, February 12th after 9 a.m. Holy Mass. The second Holy Mass that day will be at 11:30 AM. There will be slight refreshment after the 9 a.m. Holy Mass. The School of Christian Living will conduct its program in Fr. John Slysz building with presentations provided by the youth enrolled in high school.

All the societies of our parish are asked to give annual reports for 2011 and information on their projects for 2012. Another important aspect of our Annual Parish Meeting will be the election of the Parish Committee. The Parish Committee is the council, which meets once per month (usually for about 1 1/2 hour on the evening of the 3rd Wednesday of the month) to discuss issues and make decisions for the well being of the parish. Parish Elections and Thank you

We wish all elected members successes in their service for our parish.

We also thank all those who brought delicious salads, sandwiches, and doughnuts for refreshment during the Annual Parish Meeting last Sunday. Also, we thank our high school students who provided care and a program for the children during the Parish meeting sessions. As a result we had more adults attending the meeting and more youth participating in School of Christian Living program. With combined efforts we can look forward for another good year at Holy Cross Church.

Annual Parish Meeting

Our Annual Parish Meeting will be held on second Sunday of February, February 13th after 9 AM Holy Mass. The second Holy Mass will be at 12:00 PM (please note that the hour of the Mass has been changed). There will be light refreshment after the 9 AM Holy Mass. The School of Christian Living will have a program provided by high school youth in the Fr. John Slysz building. All the societies of our parish are asked to give annual report from year 2010 and a report of their projects for the year 2011.

Another important aspect of our Annual Parish Meeting will be the election of the Parish Committee. The Parish Committee is the council, which meets once per month (usually for about 1 hour on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month) to discuss concerns and make decisions for the parish. Annual Parish Meeting (Updated)

Our annual meeting is scheduled on Sunday, February 14, 2010 after 9:00 A.M. Mass. There will be only one Holy Mass on that Sunday at 9:00 A.M. Refreshment will be provided (St. Valentine’s Day). Supervision and Christian videos will be provided for children in the School of Christian Living building during the meeting. They will join us for refreshments. There will be no Communion Class that Sunday. We thank parishioners who throughout this past year shared their stewardship of treasure, time and talent for the good of Holy Cross Church. During the meeting, reports will be given from various ministries and groups of the parish. Those who are in charge of any group or ministry please send, e-mail or give your reports and plans for the Year 2010 to the church office by Sunday January 31, 2010. All parishioners are strongly encouraged to attend Mass and the Annual Parish Meeting.

The Polish National Catholic Church is made up of baptized Christians who worship together, partake of the sacraments, hear and obey the Word of God. In the PNCC Parish property is owned by the people who purchase, build and maintain it. Annual meetings are part of our democratic Church’s process for accountability to its people. We are a Church where each member has a voice and a vote.
