On Sunday, December 12th, dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed Christmas music and a great menu provided by Francesco’s Restaurant. We thank all those who came for this event, especially parents for bringing their children. Because the children of Holy Cross are very special, Santa Claus came and gave them goodies asking them to listen and help their parents and behave well. Special appreciation to Santa for coming this year, Renata Cyman who decorated the hall, Natalie Lazar who gave gifts to children, those who served food, did clean up and made that day very special.  Merry Christmas to all!  In the picture are some attendees of Christmas Dinner.

To fulfill our parish outreach program, as suggested by the Central Diocese, we held a Free Town Picnic inviting community members, parishioners and friends. The Picnic was held on Sunday, June 27th from 12 to 4pm. We had perfect weather which allowed many children to take advantage of the 16 feet water slide from Party Time Rentals, Woodland Park. Children and adults were also entertained by magician, “Simply Magical.” In the parish hall children and adults enjoyed face painting done by our parishioner, Natalie Lazar. We thank her for sharing her time and talent.

We had varieties of homemade ethnic foods, hot and cold and desserts donated by several parishioners. We truly appreciate sharing their culinary talents and their generosity. We thank parishioners who donated paper products. The parish provided hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, watermelon, green salad, soft drinks and prizes for the children.  We thank Dominick Bucci, David Obssuth, Edward Obssuth and the help of Andy Obssuth for preparing hamburgers and hot dogs in the kitchen and outdoor grill.  We thank the Galindo Family, Dominick Bucci, George O’Brien, Natalie Cyman for setting up the hall and outdoor tents.
